The Head of Government of Georgia highlighted the friendly relations existing between Azerbaijan and Georgia, thereby focusing on future joint projects.

"I have the great honor of meeting you. It is my first Official Visit to the region since being appointed to the position of the Prime Minister of Georgia. Prior to this I had an Official Visit to Brussels. We have a special attitude towards Azerbaijan. We enjoy special friendship with your people and your country. I once again assure you in our great respect and brotherhood. Excellent meeting has been held with President Aliyev. We had a very productive meeting and discussion. We once again reviewed historic projects that were implemented by our countries in recent years, giving a foundation to a profoundly stable and solid relations, partnership and friendship. Destiny has preconditioned the neighborhood and friendship of our people. We are fortunate to be such neighbors and friends. Our inter-dependence, our joint projects motivate and give us opportunity to carry out further more projects together, thus strengthening our bilateral relations" stated Irakli Garibashvili at a meeting with Ali Asadov.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Azerbaijan stressed the strategic partnership of two countries. According to him, Azerbaijan highly values bilateral relations with Georgia in political, economic, trade, cultural and humanitarian dimensions, as well as in large-scale joint projects.

Ali Asadov paid attention to the great potential of developed cooperation between the countries towards communications, agriculture, education, science, healthcare and others.

"We highly value relations between Georgia and Azerbaijan. We highly appreciate your visit to Azerbaijan soon after being appointed as Prime Minister of Georgia and believe that it is a clear manifest of the attitude demonstrated by the Government of Georgia towards these relations. I am using this opportunity to congratulate you on your appointment. I wish you every success for a further development of Georgia.

Friendly and kind neighborly relations always existed between Georgia and Azerbaijan. Since regaining independence, these relations have transitioned into strategic partnership. Special importance is paid to our ethnic communities in the advancement of relations between our countries, i.e. Azerbaijanis living in Georgia and Georgians living in Azerbaijan. They make a great contribution to the relations between our countries. I particularly wish to make our position clear on this. Jointly implemented projects acquire great significance not only in the relations between two countries, but in regional relations and development as well, along with our European interaction. By implementing the TAP project within the scope of the Southern Gas Corridor and by transporting Shah Deniz Gas to Europe, we have made one more successful step. I particularly wish to note that this project was launched with your engagement on September 20, 2014. We highly value relations with Georgia, our joint projects, bilateral relations in the fields of politics, economics, trade, culture and humanities. We have a great potential of developing our cooperation. I have various fields in mind ranging from communications, agriculture, education and science to healthcare and others. Once again welcome to Azerbaijan! We are confident that your visit will play a greater role in further advancing our bilateral relations" stated Ali Asadov.
