Romanian Prime Minister Florin Vasile Cîțu congratulates Irakli Garibashvili on his appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia.

The official congratulatory letter reads that developing Georgia-Romania economic relations, and the implementation of joint transport and energy projects of regional importance, will continue as significant items of the shared agenda.

"I have the distinct pleasure to extend to you congratulations and best wishes of success on your appointment as Prime Minister of Georgia, a position of high responsibility, especially in the current regional and international context, marked by the most diverse challenges and difficulties.

I take this opportunity to express satisfaction for the sustained political dialogue and sectoral cooperation between our countries. The development of our economic relations, along with the implementation of common projects with a regional vocation in the areas of transportation and energy, will continue to represent important marks on our common agenda.
