Information on Applicants Competing for Vacant Membership of the Georgia National Communications Commission Print Version

To participate in the open competition for a vacant membership position in the Georgia National Communications Commission, the following applicants have, within deadlines, submitted applications to the Administration of the Georgian Government: Nino Kubinidze, Irine Verdzeuli, Ivane Makharadze, and Mariam Sulaberidze.

As prescribed by legislation, a list of the candidates and documents submitted for the competition have been posted on the Georgian Government's official website.

Pursuant to article 9 of the Law of Georgia on Broadcasting, the Government of Georgia issues a decree on holding an open competition. Based on the March 29, 2021 Decree of the Government of Georgia, an open competition was announced to fill one vacant membership position in the Georgian National Communications Commission.

Pursuant to the requirements of Georgian legislation, a membership candidate of the Georgia National Communications Commission must enjoy public recognition and trust and be a holder of a master's degree or its equivalent academic degree in economics, public administration, business administration, law, electronic communications, or journalism, also having at least 10 years of experience, with 3 years of managerial experience.

The Government of Georgia, based on legally defined qualification requirements, will recommend at least candidates to the President of Georgia. The President of Georgia will refer candidates for election to the Parliament of Georgia. From the candidates referred by the President of Georgia, the Parliament of Georgia will elect a new member of the Georgian National Communications Commission.
