Today, Head of the Administration of the Georgian Government Ilia Darchiashvili and UN Resident Coordinator in Georgia Sabine Machl opened an online event with the UN Country Team presenting its 2020 Performance Report to representatives of the Government and the Parliament.
The Head of the Government Administration, in his speech, emphasized the continuous decades-long support of the UN for Georgia.
The event paid special attention to the efforts of UN agencies toward fighting COVID-19 throughout 2020, along with the country's progress in the areas of democratic sustainability, social security, education, healthcare, and civic sustainability.
The meeting also discussed prospects of future cooperation. The event's participants included members of Georgia's executive and legislative and representatives of international organizations.
