A briefing on consolidated electronic tenders was held at the Chancellery Office of the GovernmentA briefing on consolidated electronic tenders was held at the Chancellery Office of the Government.

The briefing was chaired by Mr. Davit Kereselidze, the Head of the Chancellery Office of the Government.

"Consolidated electronic tender is innovation for us. The state authorities shall start to think about how to introduce this innovation into practice", declared Kereselidze at the opening of the meeting.

During the meeting Mr. Tato Urjumelashvili, the Head of the State Purchases Agency, provided a presentation to the society attending the briefing.

According to new rules the Government makes a decision on state purchases and the State Purchases Agency carries out purchases.A briefing on consolidated electronic tenders was held at the Chancellery Office of the Government

Introduction of consolidated purchases into practice must enable the Government to use the advantages of the Economy of Scale as known to the economists and save a considerable amount of the state funds. Furthermore, the purchase procedures will be simplified for the state authorities.
