On 16 July 2010 the Prime Minister Nika Gilauri met the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine Sergei Tigipko in the State Chancellery of Georgia.
As Nika Gilari stated to journalists after the meeting, "this visit is very important. This is the first visit of the Ukrainian delegation in Georgia after election of a new President in Ukraine. It is a big delegation.
Representatives from different ministries arrived."
"The key objective of this visit is sharing information on reforms effected in Georgia during the last years. Thus, much attention was paid to this matter during the meeting.
Currently, political and economic relations between Georgia and Ukraine are at a high level. Today we have Ukrainian investments in Georgia and hope they will further increase", said the Georgian Prime Minister.
