On 3 July 2010, Prime Minister of Georgia Nika Gilauri presented the ministers approved by the Parliament on 2 July to the employees of the ministries.
In presenting Ramaz Nikolaishvili as the new Minister to the Ministry of Regional Development, the Prime Minister said that the Ministry of Regional Development is an important segment of the current Government.
"I'd like to express thanks to Ramaz Nikolaishvili for the works that he has fulfilled for all this time as the chairman of the Motorway Department. I'd like to wish him success as the
minister. Coordination of regions is important. The Ministry has done important work indeed. I'd like to tell you that there is still a lot to do and am sure that together with you Ramaz will be able to meet the challenge," Nika Gilauri said.
Besides, the Prime Minister presented the head of the new agency - the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs.
The Prime Minister said it was the right decision to call into being a separate ministry in this area: "Lado chaired the Department. It was him who formed the Youth Department as well as the Sports Department. Lado is well aware of the problems that the country is facing in this area. He has do
ne a lot and I am sure that together we can achieve much more."
Finally, Nika Gilauri presented Veronika Kobalia as the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development to the employees of the ministry, saying that "the state has achieved much in terms of economic development but there are two series problems that are still holding out and require solution - these are inflow of private investment and pace of privatization."
