On December 14, the Prime Minister of Georgia Vladimer Gurgenidze and the Minister of Refugees and Resettlement Koba Subeliani arrived in Tskhinvali region. In the village of Tamarasheni, Vladimer Gurgenidze together with the Chief of the Provisional Administration Dimitri Sanakoev visited the facilities in construction: the swimming pool and the sports palace and he expressed his satisfaction by the works in progress. They participated in the celebration on the occasion of delivering a house provided by the Iavnana Charity Foundation to a family consisting of 9 members.

In the village of Achabeti, the prime minister randomly visited one of the local families and acquainted himself with their living conditions. He also had a meeting with the population. The dwellers of the conflict zone asked Vladimer Gurgenidze to resolve the problems of fixing the roads and drinking water and in addition to that they mentioned the difficulties that they are facing with regard to fruit realization. The population living in the gorge told the prime minister that they had harvested large amounts of fruit but are hardly able to sell their product. The Ossetian side is not allowing them to transport the products to Russian Federation via the Rocki Tunnel.

Vladimer Gurgenidze promised to assist them and stated that in near future, the Minister of Agriculture, Petre Tsiskarishvili will visit the region in order to settle the mentioned problem.
