EXECUTIVE GOVERNMENT MEETING HELD ON JUNE 8, 2017
2017-06-08 Today's Government meeting, chaired by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili and held at the Administration of the Government, discussed 26 issues on the agenda, with six additional issues. Tea processing plants will open in the Municipalities of Abasha, Zugdidi, Martvili, Mestia, Senaki, Chkhorotsku, Tsalenjikha, and Khobi, and in the Municipalities of the cities of Poti and Zugdidi, for which, at the decree of the Government, Jvari-91 LLC has been granted state-owned immovable property to rent. Today the Government also approved the Charter of the Interagency Commission on gender Equality, Violence against Women and Domestic Violence. The newly established commission, along with other rights and obligations, will serve as the local coordinating body as defined in the so-called Istanbul Convention. In addition, it will develop relevant local action plans, ensuring coordination and monitoring of their implementation. The Charter of the Interagency Commission was developed with active participation from various UN agencies.
