Prime Minister of Georgia Meets Chairman of Verkhovna Rada in Ukraine Print Version

Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Ukraine met Dmytro Razumkov, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada within the scope of his Official Visit to Ukraine today.

Meeting held at the legislative authority of the host country was focused on the key topics of the strategic partnership agenda of the two countries and various areas of successful cooperation.

It was noted that political dialogue between the two nations is at a profoundly high level and apart from the people-to-people contacts, partnership is based on common interests and aspirations.

Discussions were related to the successful cooperation between the legislative authorities of Georgia and Ukraine. Readiness was expressed to further deepen the linkages.

Dignitaries praised the high-level cooperation and mutual support of Georgia and Ukraine within the format of international organizations, including the UN, OSCE and Council of Europe, thereby expressing readiness to further continue close cooperation and support.

The Prime Minister of Georgia reassured the Chairman of Verkhovna Rada in the unwavering support of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine and expressed gratitude for supporting the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia within the internationally recognized borders.

Meeting was attended by David Zalkaliani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Juansher Burchuladze, Minister of Defense of Georgia; H.E. Teimuraz Sharashenidze, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to Ukraine and Ilia Darchiashvili, Head of Government Administration of Georgia.

After the meeting, Chairman of Verkhovna Rada showed the Plenary Hall of the Ukrainian Parliament to the Prime Minister and Georgian delegation.
