I would like to thank all employees of the State Security Service for their professional work and service, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated during today's event marking the 6thanniversary of the State Security Service.

According to the Head of Government, the State Security Service's employees are serving citizens and empowering the state on a daily basis.

"It is from the bottom of my heart that I join each and every employee of the State Security Service in celebrating this day. As you know, today marks the 6th anniversary since the establishment of the State Security Service. I would like to thank all employees of the State Security Service for their professional work and service. They are serving our country, our citizens, our population, and are empowering the state on a daily basis. Once again, happy anniversary! I wish you success!" Irakli Garibashvili said.

The Prime Minister-accompanied by Chief of the Security Service Grigol Liluashvili, Speaker of Parliament KakhaKuchava, Interior Minister Vakhtang Gomelauri, Defense Minister Juansher Burchuladze, Head of the Special State Protection Service Anzor Chubinidze, and Head of the Intelligence Service Shalva Lomidze-met with the staff of the State Security Service at the Shavnabada Base, to wish them a happy 6th anniversary in person, also attending military drills.

The State Security Service, established on August 1, 2015, decoupled from the Interior Ministry to form an independent agency, following relevant legislative amendments.
