Four-Lane Khevi-Ubisa-Shorapani-Argveti Highway Project Launches Print Version

2017-03-23

Construction of the 42-km four-lane Khevi-Ubisa-Shorapani-Argveti highway section is about to begin on the Rikoti Pass, including almost 90 bridges and 40 tunnels-this far-reaching infrastructural project will be implemented under the spatial planning component, the largest on the Georgian Government's four-point reform agenda.

This 800,000,000 USD project is financed by the Asian Development Bank.

"It serves as a connector between Eastern and Western Georgia and a transit route for our neighbors. It is a very important section of our spatial development plan, and I am glad that we are making good progress on these projects," the Prime Minister stated at today's Government meeting.
