Irakli Kobakhidze, Prime Minister of Georgia has concluded his visit to the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The Head of Government of Georgia was seen off at Abu Dhabi International Airport by Ahmed Al Sayegh, Minister of State of the UAE.

During the visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia met Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE. Following the meeting, an agreement was signed at the UAE President's residence, marking the first time in Georgia's history that $6 billion in foreign direct investment will be made in the country. The leading development company, Emaar Properties/Eagle Hills, will implement investment projects in Tbilisi and Gonio.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia held meetings with the UAE Minister of Tolerance, Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, as well as with Abu Dhabi's state investment company and its logistics division, Abu Dhabi Ports Group, which is actively involved in the development of the Middle Corridor and is implementing the Tbilisi Dry Port project.

"This visit was highly significant, including from the perspective that the United Arab Emirates is an exemplary country in terms of progress and economic advancement, and cooperation with this nation can bring substantial benefits to Georgia. We held high-level meetings, including with the President and members of the government. We signed an important investment agreement that provides for a $6 billion investment in Georgia. A multifunctional infrastructure space will be created in Tbilisi and Gonio. Emaar Group is renowned worldwide for its expertise and resources, and we are proud that this agreement was signed. The project will commence very soon. It will contribute to the development of our country, economy, Tbilisi, and the Adjara region, while creating new jobs. This project is important in every aspect," stated Irakli Kobakhidze.
