On December 1, restrictions on restaurant opening hours will be lifted, and acceptable cinema, theater, and opera house attendances will grow from 30% to 50%. This decision was made by today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council chaired by Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Government Administration.

The restriction on the number of restaurant guests remains in force, and the issue of its easing will be discussed by the Coordination Council based on the analysis of the epidemiological situation. In addition, on the Coordination Council's decision, Georgian citizens vaccinated in Georgia and returning to the country via land borders are exempt from mandatory PCR testing.

December 1 will see the enactment of the Green Passport concept. A so-called green status is granted to those fully vaccinated and have passed 72-hour-validity PCR or 24-hour-validity antigen tests, or have recovered from coronavirus, will be eligible for Green Passports. On the council's decision, the 6-month limitation on those who have had coronavirus infection is removed. Green Passports are mandatory for citizens aged over 18.

On the Coordination Council's decision, "Green Passport only" admission will apply from December 1 to the following: eateries, restaurants, cafes, and bars (both outdoor and indoor), cinemas, theaters, opera houses, museums, concert halls, entertainment centers, casinos and gambling sites, spa centers, fitness clubs, hotels, and aerial lifts in winter resorts. Said requirement also applies to the guests of the listed facilities. As for entertainment centers for children, Green Passports are mandatory for citizens aged over 18.

The Interagency Coordination Council once again urges citizens to become actively engaged in the process of vaccination, wear facemasks and maintain social distancing.

Since the first coronavirus case in Georgia, the country has seen 822,383 confirmed cases, with 763,755 recoveries and 11,679 deaths.

58 persons are presently under quarantine, 1,084 are in clinical hotels, and 6,611 are
hospitalized under medical supervision.

The Parliament of Georgia and the President's Administration are actively involved in the work of the Interagency Coordination Council chaired by the Prime Minister.
