Irakli Garibashvili: Psychotropic substances should be banned from sale and I will personally follow-up on the enforcement process

Legislation on drug addiction has become quite liberal and our youth are consuming harmful substances instead of being engaged in sports, education and employment. It was announced by Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at the Executive Government Meeting today.

He also noted that psychotropic substances should be banned from sale and that he will personally follow-up on the enforcement process.

"[Gambling] is related with drug addiction and engagement of our youth in a most devastating movement. Legislation on drug addiction has become quite liberal and our youth are consuming harmful substances instead of being engaged in sports, education and employment. That is why, psychotropic substances should be banned from sale and I will personally follow-up on the enforcement process" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia.
