Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić, in her letter to Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili, offers her condolences to the Georgian people over the tragedy resulting from the recent residential building collapse in Batumi.
Marija Pejčinović Burić also wishes a speedy recovery, strength, and valor to those injured.
"Mister Prime Minister,
It is with great sadness that I learned of the fatal collapse of a building in Batumi, and the tragic loss of human lives resulting from it. : On behalf of the Council of Europe, allow me to express my deepest sorrow and extend my sympathy to the families and loved ones of the victims of this tragic event, as well as to the Georgian people. I also wish a speedy recovery, strength, and valor to those injured," reads the letter from Secretary General of the Council of Europe Marija Pejčinović Burić.
