The state is ever-ready to support the development of regional enterprises, and that for its part is the foundation of the country's economic development, Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili stated at the Ceramica El Torrente, a ceramic brick manufacturing enterprise in the village of Metekhi, Kaspi Municipality. Garibashvili was accompanied by Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava.

The Head of Government familiarized himself with the ceramic brick plant and spoke with the company's representatives.

According to Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Natia Turnava, the Spanish company Ceramica El Torrente decided to relocate its plant from Spain to Georgia I n 2018. The company enjoys 900,000-GEL bank credit co-financing and 2.55-million-GEL grant scheme component from the state program Enterprise Georgia.

The enterprise, with its total investment value is 11.4 million GEL, produces 120 tons of brick a day to sell in the local market.

On his visit to the ceramic brick plant, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Head of the Government Administration's Regional Liaison Department Leri Barnabishvili, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure Irakli Karseladze, Vice Prime Minister/Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture Levan Davitashvili, and Shida Kartli State Representative Valerian Mchedlidze.
