Prime Minister holds a working meeting with relevant agencies to discuss the gradual plan for lifting the presently enforced restrictions

Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a working meeting with representatives of relevant agencies to discuss the gradual plan for lifting the presently enforced restrictions.

The meeting considered steps to be taken at an earlier stage in lifting restrictions.

The participants emphasized that it is necessary to be maximally cautious and lift each restriction based on strict monitoring of the epidemiological situation to prevent infection cases from spiking after the stabilization achieved so far.

On the Prime Minister's instructions, work is underway on the gradual plan for lifting the presently enforced restrictions which will be presented to the public in the nearest future. The plan will also be discussed by the Interagency Coordination Council.

In addition, intensive cooperation with the private sector continues to enable businesses to secure high COVID-safety standards based on safety mechanisms and additional components developed for preventing the virus.
