Led by Prime Minister, the Interagency Coordination Council on Coronavirus Holds Regular Meeting
2020-03-04 Today, the Interagency Coordination Council on Coronavirus held its regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. In addition, Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani informed the council that a female Georgian citizen contacted the hotline of the Georgian Embassy in Italy to report a fever and weakness. The Georgian Consulate immediately contacted the Italian Ministry of Health. Consequently, an ambulance was dispatched and the patient was hospitalized on one of Rome's clinics. As it was confirmed today, the patient tested positive for novel coronavirus. She is presently under doctors' supervision and in treatment in Rome. Her health condition is satisfactory. According to the Minister, the Georgian Embassy in the Italian Republic maintains constant contact with the patient, her family, and the clinic's management. The Interagency Coordination Council, in order to ensure information exchange and coordinated measures, continues regular meeting under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister. The Government has set up a special website - www.stopcov.ge to inform the public about Coronavirus.
