Prime Minister Honors the Memory of Cadets Fallen in Fight for Georgia’s Freedom
2019-02-23 Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze honored the memory of the cadets fallen in the fight against soviet occupation. The Head of Government, together with the Speaker of the Parliament, laid a wreath at the memorial of the patriots fallen in the February 17-24 fight for Georgia's freedom near Ialghuji, Kojori, and Tabakhmela. "Today, we honor the memory of the cadets, our youth, who laid their lives to stand up to soviet occupation. I bow before all Georgian heroes who have sacrificed their lives for our country's freedom and independence. The selflessness of these heroes is the very cornerstone of Georgia's statehood, and it is their heroism that sustains Georgia," the Prime Minister stated. Mamuka Bakhtadze also visited a photo exhibition dedicated to the cadets' memory in the parliament's courtyard.
