PRIME MINISTER OF GEORGIA PARTICIPATES IN THE OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE FRANKFURT BOOK FAIR

Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia launched the Frankfurt Book Fair together with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy; Jurgen Boos, Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair today. Georgia is a Guest of Honor in 2018.

Key-note event was officially launched with a symbolic hit of the hammer.

Prime Minister of Georgia, High Representative of the European Union, Director of the Frankfurt Book Fair, Minister President of Hesse Land of the Federal Republic of Germany and President of the German Publishers and Booksellers Association addressed the audience prior to this.

Speakers focused on Georgia as a country of ancient culture and western orientation, along with its support and global challenges towards human rights experienced currently worldwide. High-ranking officials reaffirmed their loyalty towards the Human Rights Charter in their speeches, which celebrates 70th Anniversary this year - similar to the Frankfurt Book Fair itself with the following message: I'm on the same page.
