Today Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili hosted President of the Serbian National Assembly Maja Gojković during her official visit to Tbilisi.
The parties discussed the intensification of cooperation in a variety of areas, including the importance of tapping into the existing economic potential. It was pointed out that the joint business forum to be held in Tbilisi this spring will boost economic ties.
The Prime Minister thanked the Republic of Serbia for its political decision concerning visa-free travel for Georgian citizens, holders of ordinary passports.

"It is our great honor to have this opportunity to host you, and we welcome the intensification of our bilateral relations. I think our countries have a lot in common, so it is absolutely natural that we have closer ties between our countries. I would like to thank you for supporting Georgia and its core issues on international forma, which is territorial integrity and sovereignty. I would to like to also thank you for your political decision to open visa-free travel opportunity for Georgian citizens, for ordinary passport holders. We are expecting the opportunity to host Serbian business representatives at the business forum in Tbilisi this year. The point that we do not have intensive trade relations also gives us an opportunity to give a fast boost to our bilateral trade and investment relations," the Prime Minister said.

The President of the National Assembly of Serbia thanked the Head of Georgian Government for his hospitality. Maja Gojković pointed out the intensification of bilateral relations and cooperation as one of the key goals of her visit.
"We are the ones who directly represent our citizens, and they are the ones who want us to establish closer relations between us. This visit should be understood as the initial visit to strengthen our further cooperation both at the parliamentary level and, in general, at the political level," Maja Gojković emphasized.
The conversation also involved cooperation under international organizations and challenges facing the two countries' territorial integrity.
The parties also emphasized the dynamics of developing inter-parliamentary ties sustained by the work of the groups of friends operating under the two countries' legislative bodies.
