Prime Minister Met with the Vice-President of European Commission

Giorgi Kvirikashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met with Maros Sefcovic, Vice-President of European Commission for Energy Unions in Davos, at World Economic Forum.

Discussion touched upon regional projects in the field of energy, as well as steps to be taken by Georgia after becoming the member of the Energy Union and the completed and ongoing reforms implemented in the country.

Efforts of the Government of Georgia to develop renewable energy sources and at the same time use country's hydropower potential at a maximum level was underlined.

Energy transit projects of regional importance and special role of Georgia in the successful implementation of such projects was also emphasized at the meeting.
