The discussion revolved around some of the key issues of Georgia-US strategic partnership and prospects of future cooperation. The parties praised the two countries' growing relations in a variety of directions.
Giorgi Kvirikashvili introduced the Senators to the ongoing reforms in Georgia. The conversation also involved strategically important projects. As it was pointed out during the meeting, American business interests and investments are crucial to both Georgia and the region for ensuring economic stability and security. The Senators emphasized the strong bipartisan support for Georgia in US Congress and the recent address by US Congressmen clearly underlining the importance of Georgia's successful reforms designed to strengthen its democratic institutions and ensure economic development. Special attention was paid to the bill signed by the US President to feature, for the first time, the occupation of Georgian territories.
The dialogue also involved regional challenges and the situation in Georgia's occupied territories. The Georgian Prime Minister thanked the Senators for the special support from the US over the recent period.
