Business House – implementation of the governance reform begins
2016-09-08 Business entities will be able to receive more than 600 types of services in one building, based on the one-stop-shop principle, - implementation of project of the Business House that is a significant part of the Government's 4-point reform plan, has been launched today. Business House is a completely groundbreaking model based on the public-private partnership principle and ensures provision of the services by various ministries and state agencies in one space and through single e-platform. Overall, the list encompasses more than 600 services provided by the state to the business and each of them will be available in one space. Revolutionary project that will change the landscape of interaction between the state and the business, - Prime Minister assessed the project. Giorgi Kvirikashvili considers that the Business House will significantly ameliorate the quality and limit the time and costs of the service provision process. Giorgi Kvirikashvili thanked the Ministry of Economy, the Minister as well as foreign experts engaged in the drafting of the project and hoped that this idea will significantly ameliorate the business climate in Georgia. According to the Prime Minister, significant steps are taken to implement remaining three directions of the 4-point plan. "Relevant economic package has already been adopted within the frames of acceleration of economic reforms. According to the said legislative amendments, the corporate income tax will be abolished starting from the January 1 of the next year provided that the income will not be distributed but rather reinvested. This will assist mobilization of the internal investment resources. In terms of spatial development, we spare no efforts to ensure spending of additional 5 billion USD annually on modernization of Georgia's infrastructural modernization and create qualitatively novel, physically and visually new Georgia with completely modern within the timeframe of the next 4 years. This will enable Georgia to fully utilize its geo-political location and transit potential. In terms of the education system, some important steps have been taken and this field will entail some fundamental changes in the development of Georgia as a whole. We are very optimistic. The word revolution has some negative connotation, nevertheless I have to say that this project will be truly revolutionary in terms of changing the business environment through creating qualitatively new space for interaction between the state and the state. We consider that new era will begin in Georgia," - Prime Minister noted.
