One Georgian Government’s Initiative, Public Servants Complete Learning Course Supported by UNDP and British Government
2019-03-27 On the initiative of the Georgian Government, and with support of the UN Development Program and the Government of Great Britain, more than 170 public servants have completed Public Policy Analysis learning course. The training program, developed by the consortium based on needs assessment, was designed to enhance the strategic planning and policymaking capabilities of Georgian Ministries. "Evidence-based decision-making is crucially important to our country, so that we may keep our finger on the pulse of development rates, the results of the Government's performance, and challenges," Kakha Kakhishvili said. Partner of GEC Consulting Giorgi Simongulashvili expressed hope that said courses will be institutionalized to enable every public servant involved in policy planning may attend such qualification enhancement courses. UNDP and the British Government are supporting the Government of Georgia in its far-reaching initiative seeking to foster the country's ongoing public administration reform. The meeting was attended by representatives from the public service sector, international and donor organizations, civil society, and academic institutions, and the field's experts.
