A series of trainings for public servants at municipalities and regional administrations has been launched
2017-02-13 A series of trainings for public servants at municipalities and regional administrations has been launched. The training are delivered under Effectively Protecting and Promoting Human Rights in Georgia, a joint project supported by the Government of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). The trainings seek to raise awareness about the guarantees enshrined in National Legislation on the Protection of Human Rights and international standards among public servants at municipalities and regional administrations. To this end, relevant thematic training sessions are planned to be held in Tbilisi and the regions of Kvemo Kartli, Kakheti, and Samtskhe-Javakheti. Empowering public servants at local self-governing bodies and regional administrations, along with equipping them with information on national and international human rights standards, will contribute to reaching the goals and objectives under the National Strategy and the Action Plan of the Government on the Protection of Human Rights.
