Georgian Prime Minister Leaves for US to Participate in 72nd UNGA Session Print Version

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili is scheduled to deliver a speech at the 72nd UN General Assembly Session on September 21.
Led by the Head of Government, the Georgian delegation has already left for the United States.

During his visit to New York, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, on September 19, will participate in OGP's High-Ranking Event during which Georgia will succeed France in OGP Presidency for one-year tenure.

During the visit to attend the 72nd Session of the UN General Assembly, the Head of Georgian Government will hold several bilateral meetings.
On September 18, Giorgi Kvirikashvili will meet with President Donald Tusk of the European Council and OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger, as well as with UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, Moldova's Prime Minister Pavel Filip, Uzbekistan's President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, and Afghan President Ashraf Ghani.
The Prime Minister of Georgia will attend UN Reform, an event hosted by the US President and the UN Secretary General; he will also participate in the opening ceremony for the high-level meeting on promoting innovative financing under the Sustainable Development Goals.
The Head of Georgian Government is also scheduled to attend a high-level meeting dedicated to the Human Rights Council's reforms and co-chaired by US Vice President Mike Pence, UK Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs Boris Johnson, and Dutch Foreign Minister Bert Koenders. Giorgi Kvirikashvili will also participate in an event organized by Michael Bloomberg as part of the Bloomberg Global Business Forum. The Prime Minister is also invited to attend an official reception hosted on behalf of US President Donald Trump and his spouse to honor the leaders of different UN delegations.
