Prime Minister's Visit to the People's Republic of China Print Version

Georgian Prime Minister has left for a working visit to the People's Republic of China. On 9-13 September, Irakli Garibashvili will hold a number of high-level meetings in Dalian and Beijing.

The Prime Minister will participate in the World Economic Forum in Dalian City. The Head of Government will give a speech at the New Silk Road session. He will address the faculty of Beijing University of International Business and Economics and participate in subsequent discussions. Irakli Garibashvili will also attend the Opening Ceremony Champions 2015 of the Annual World Economic Forum in Dalian.

During his visit to the People's Republic of China, the Georgian Prime Minister will meet with his Chinese counterpart Li Keqiang. A meeting is planned with the leadership of China's Silk Road Fund, the President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank, the Secretary General of China's Chamber of Commerce, as well as the Prime Minister of Mongolia and the Dalian Municipality leadership.

Meetings will be held with representatives of large companies, such as the Mitsubishi Corporation, Dongfang Electric Corporation, Sab Labs China, and Transcosmos.

During the visit to China, several important agreements and memoranda will be signed, such as a Memorandum of Understanding between the Dalian Municipality and the Autonomous Republic of Adjara, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Dalian Locomotive and Carriage-Building Factory and the Carriage Building Company of Georgia, a Memorandum of Cooperation between the Dalian Port Free Trade Zone and Georgian Wine Corporation, and a Memorandum between Georgian Railway LLC and the Chinese Railway Construction Corporation.

The Prime Minister will be interviewed by leading Chinese media outlets.

The Georgian delegation, which will depart for China on September 13, consists of Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili, MP David Saganelidze, Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Dimitri Kumsishvili, Chairman of Autonomous Republic of Adjara Archil Khabadze, MP Gubaz Sanikidze, Director of National Investment Agency George Pertaia, Chairman of the Co-Investment Fund George Bachiashvili, General Director at Georgian Railway LLC Mamuka Bakhtadze.
