Working Visit of the Prime Minister of Georgia to Republic of Azerbaijan

On 30 November 2006, Prime Minister of Georgia Zurab Noghaideli was on a one-day working visit to the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Zurab Noghaideli held talks to find alternative ways to supply natural gas to Georgia.

As part of the visit, the Prime Minister of Georgia met President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev, Prime Minister of Republic of Azerbaijan Artur Rasizade, Minister of Industry and Energy of Azerbaijan Natik Aliyev, Minister of Transport of Azerbaijan Zia Mamedov, President of International Oil Corporation of Republic of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdudayev and the members of the Caspian Integration Business Club.

"The talks proved to be a great success. By today's round of talks, particularly the talks at the meeting with President Aliyev.

I am satisfied. On 6-8 December, trilateral Georgia-Turkey-Azerbaijan talks will be held to finally determine the amount of Azerbaijani gas supply and the terms of gas distribution from Shah-Deniz. Gerorgia is not going to end up without natural gas," the Prime Minister said.

When on a visit to Azerbaijan, the Prime Minister was accompanied by Minister of Energy of Georgia Nika Gilauri and President of International Oil Corporation Aleksandre Khetaguri.
