Today's Cabinet meeting, chaired by Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili at the Administration of the Government, discussed 10 issues on its meeting agenda.

On the decision of the Head of Government, a special airplane will be dispatched to evacuate Georgian citizens from Afghanistan. In line with the Prime Minister's instructions, the Foreign Ministry and relevant agencies will also continue active cooperation with international partners to secure their assistance in ensuring Georgian citizens' safe return home.

On the Prime Minister's instructions, the Ministry of Regional Development and Infrastructure is launching a water supply project in Telavi. As part of constructing said water supply system, a 79-kilometer network will be put in place, five existing water wells will be rehabilitated, and three new ones and a reservoir will be built. The project's value is almost 24 million GEL. After its completion next year, Telavi will enjoy a functioning water supply system.

In addition, first-phase preparation work is in full swing in the regions under Renewed Regions, a program initiated by the Prime Minister. During the meeting, the Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure provided the Head of Government with the interim report, pointing out that initial results will be in as early as late September. Historical and cultural monuments, and recreation areas, will be renovated in full under the program.
