"I wish to once again congratulate my colleague with a convincing victory in the parliamentary elections of Armenia" stated Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia at an interface meeting with Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia, who is visiting Tbilisi today.

According to the Head of Government of Georgia, Nikol Pashinyan will bring success and development to Armenia and Armenian people.

"I wish to greet Nikol Pashinyan, Prime Minister of Armenia. I am delighted that my dear colleague is visiting Tbilisi today. I one again wish to congratulate him with a convincing victory in the parliamentary elections. I am confident that he will bring success and development to Armenia and Armenian people. Welcome to Georgia!" stated Irakli Garibashvili.

Nikol Pashinyan expressed gratitude to his hosting colleague for the invitation and warm welcome in Georgia, thereby noting that it is a good opportunity to discuss regional and bilateral relations.

"Dear Mr. Prime Minister, let me first thank you for the invitation and warm welcome. It has always been my great honor and pleasure to visit the capital city of Georgia - Tbilisi. It is a good opportunity to discuss the regional and bilateral relations. I am thrilled that our nations and governments have close relations and I remain confident that this meeting will further deepen and improve the quality of this interaction" stated Nikol Pashinyan.

The face-to-face meeting was followed with the extended one, engaging the cabinet members from both countries. Significance of cooperation existing between Georgia and Armenia was highlighted in the following areas: trade and economy, transport, logistics, arts and culture.

Dignitaries spoke about the successful mediation of Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia, which resulted in the release of 15 Armenian citizens in exchange to the important mined land maps handed over to Azerbaijan. Nikol Pashinyan expressed his gratitude to Irakli Garibashvili for his personal contribution in the process of mediation.

Extended meeting between the Prime Ministers engaged the following officials: Ararat Mirzoyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia; Gnel Sanosyan, Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure of the Republic of Armenia; H.E. Ruben Sadoyan, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia to Georgia. The Georgian side was represented by David Zalkaliani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia; Levan Davitashvili, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture of Georgia; Irakli Karseladze, Minister of Regional Development and Infrastructure of Georgia.
