Support for local production will continue because this helps employ our population and develop small enterprises. And that very goal is served by state programs implemented by our Government for years, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia stated in the village of Kviriketi, Guria, where he visited Guria Fish, a trout and Norwegian salmon fingerling farm, in the company of Head of the Regional Policy and Coordination Service at the Government's Administration Konstantine Ananiashvili, State Representative in Guria Giorgi Sakhokia, and Majoritarian MP Vasil Chigogidze.

The Head of Government familiarized himself with the production process at the fingerling farm financed with 1,500,000 GEL under Affordable Agricultural Credit. According to the farm's owners, Guria Fish raises trout and Norwegian salmon subsequently sold in both local and export markets.

The Head of Government singled out the importance of maximally developing the country's agriculture and local production because of the area's potential for employment and export.

1,200,000 euro has been invested in the farm so far, with the eventual goal of 25,000,000 euro in investments. The enterprise employs 12 people.
