Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia visited Ozrugeti's fully rehabilitated Public School #1 and the center for modern technology and innovation, recently built on school premises.

Under the project, two buildings of the public school for 1,000 students have been fully rehabilitated, to enable elementary and middle schoolchildren to attend classes in separate buildings. Adapted for persons with disabilities, the new buildings now feature learning spaces, labs with modern technologies, a library, a cafeteria, a conference hall, and a gym.

As for the one-story center for modern technology and innovation, its rooms offer panoramic views. The building encompasses a conference hall, both closed and open working spaces, classrooms and computer rooms, technical units, a mini factory laboratory, and a green courtyard. The territory of the innovation center will soon have a sports ground. According to the Head of Government, the innovation center on school premises will enable local youth to study, prudently use their free time, and master modern technologies.

The Head of Government, during a meeting with the school's faculty and students, emphasized the importance of maximally complying with safety norms and recommendations by both teachers and pupils in the learning process, so that the health of both may be maximally protected. To that end, based on the protocol developed together with the Health Ministry, at least 20% of the school's faculty and administrative personnel will be tested once every other week. Safety for schoolchildren, and access to quality education, is the Georgian Government's top priority, the Prime Minister added.
The Government of Georgia prioritizes the field of education and rehabilitation of educational infrastructure. In eth course of the past 2 years, 3 new schools were built in Guria, including 1 in Lanchkhuti and 2 in Chokhatauri, with the construction of 4 more underway. 16 public schools were rehabilitated, and 9 more are under rehabilitation.
