Today, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with Dessislava Ivanova, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Bulgaria to Georgia.

The Head of Government thanked the Government of Bulgaria for providing humanitarian assistance throughout the pandemic.

The conversation revolved around vaccination. Alongside the COVAX platform, the Georgian Government is actively cooperating with partner countries for Georgia to receive vaccines as soon as possible, the Prime Minister emphasized and welcomed support from Bulgaria in this direction.

Special emphasis was placed on the importance of Black Sea security and the economic cooperation as one of the key directions between the two countries. The parties pointed out that, in light of post-pandemic challenges, joint effort must continue further to deepen the positive dynamic in trade and economic cooperation, trade and communications ties, and projects of regional importance.
The Head of Government thanked the Bulgarian diplomat for her personal contribution to the development of partnership between the two countries. The Government of Georgia appreciates Bulgaria's support for Georgia's territorial integrity and sovereignty, and for the country's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
