2020-06-13

My spouse and I have accumulated and earned enough financial resources in my past life. Therefore, nobody can ever refer to a single fact of me buying something after 2012, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia told the press in response to a question about his property declaration.

As the Head of Government emphasized, since 2012, he has not purchased any immovable or movable property besides an automobile.

"My declaration lists it all in detail. You can bring up a lot of speculations, but there is nothing to back them up. If you have any solid facts, speak up. In reality, it is nothing but gossiping. The opposition says a lot of things. Unfortunately, as we have entered the election season, and as they have nothing politically substantial, they are after this issue. I have not purchased any immovable or movable property in Georgia since 2012, only an automobile for my spouse. Let me tell you something. My spouse and I have accumulated and earned enough financial resources in my past life. Therefore, nobody can ever refer to a single fact of me buying something after 2012. Similarly, my parents have alienated some property in Kakheti, to some buyer there. You buy something, it becomes an issue; you sell it, and now that becomes a problem. If there is any legal violation, get your facts straight," Giorgi Gakharia said.
