The prime minister of Georgia inspected the construction of a new tourist facility in Telavi, which is being built with the support of the state program Host in Georgia and will be ready to receive tourists next year.

The head of the government noted that since Georgia has been granted the status of safe destination country for tourists, it is important to further develop new, in-demand tourist products in Georgia, including health and medical tourism, adventure tourism, eco and agritourism, wine tourism, and others.

Twenty-nine rooms will operate in the Kvevrebi hotel at the first stage, with 20 of them being shaped like a kvevri. The arrangement of a conference hall and a restaurant is also planned. Construction will be completed in May 2021.

Giorgi Gakharia visited Telavi together with Environment Protection and Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili and Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili.
