The constitutional amendments must be made and the constitutional amendments will be adopted; this is the position of the ruling team, Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia told journalists today.
As the head of the government noted, a proportional electoral system is essential for the further reformation and democratization of the country's political system.
"As regards my personal, concrete position: I believe that today, at the current stage, the electoral system that was agreed upon is of extreme importance and a matter of principle for the development of the country. This is my fundamental position, which I have repeatedly stated, just as I have said that the proportional electoral system is essential for the further reformation and democratization of our country's political reality and political space. Everything else amounts to political speculation," Giorgi Gakharia stated.
