Based on the example of this strawberry plantation we can say that in our country it is possible to start highly profitable agricultural production and to employ local residents with even a small investment, stated Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Gakharia in Kvareli, where he visited a small strawberry plantation.
The half-hectare plantation, which was created as a result of a 5,000 GEL investment, yields a harvest of up to 1,800 kilograms, which is sold on the local market.
Giorgi Gakharia noted that such initiatives make it possible to supply the market with quality food products that are produced locally, adding that for this to work, it will be necessary to get as many people interested and involved in agriculture as possible.
According to the head of the government, the development of small entrepreneurship plays a major role in the development of the field of agriculture in the country, and the state will do its best to support farmers and entrepreneurs in this endeavor.
Giorgi Gakharia is visiting Kvareli together with Environmental Protection and Agriculture Minister Levan Davitashvili and Kakheti Governor Irakli Kadagishvili, where he is personally providing farmers with information on the Anti-Crisis Plan to support villages.
