All online retailers will be allowed to continue operating as long as they observe the employee and customer health safety rules established by the Health Ministry and the National Center for Disease Control. This issue was discussed during today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council led by Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia at the Government Administration.

Designated Ministries, in coordination with the command center, will in the nearest future produce information on companies meeting said rules and putting in place safe environment for both their staff and customers, followed by a decision to grant extended operating permits.

The Head of Government and the Cabinet discussed the enforcement of tightened rules applicable under the state of emergency and the recently declared curfew, also the situation at special checkpoints set up jointly by the Interior and Defense Ministries on the borders of larger municipalities. These special checkpoints are designed to inspect citizens, including with thermal screening, with representatives of relevant agencies mobilized on the ground to that end. The Interior Minister reported on the enforcement of the restrictions under the curfew and legal response to identified violations.

The meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council also discussed the dynamic of the work of the Government's nationwide hotline 144. Relevant structures were instructed to ramp up the hotline's capacity in order to enable citizens to enjoy full uninterrupted information on the restrictions applicable under the state of emergency.

As it was pointed out during today's meeting of the Interagency Coordination Council, 26 of the 130 coronavirus patients in Georgia have already recovered. All infected individuals are provided with adequate treatment. Presently, 5,500 persons are under quarantine, and 281 are under hospital supervision.

The Head of Government instructed the Health Ministry to finalize, within the shortest possible deadlines, the mobilization of so-called fever centers in every Georgian region, to serve fever patients. In addition, next week, the 112 service will launch a phone-based family doctor consultation mechanism to enable citizens consult their family doctors and then plan their hospital visits. Patients showing symptoms will be advised by medics to stay at home and, after the completion of a full medical history, it will be decided whether such patients should be hospitalized or remain at home under supervision. Should possible health-related complications arise, adequate gear will be used for hospitalization. At this point, 25 clinics are engaged in this program, of which 4 are Tbilisi-based, and remaining 21 operate in large cities and regional centers throughout Georgia.

To plan coordinated action, the Interagency Coordination Council continues meetings led by the Prime Minister, with active involvement from the Georgian Parliament and the President's Administration.
