"You bear the responsibility over the execution of decisions made by the Government of Georgia towards COVID-19 Influx prevention in the regions of the country and you share this duty with the respective public institutions" said Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia to Governors at a meeting held today at the Government Administration.
Head of Government of Georgia noted that country is now entering a phase of spread following a standstill phase and it is important that effective, coordinated measures get implemented throughout the country.
"It is most important for you to stand ready to carry out several critical functions in the regions. Decisions made by the Government of Georgia to suspend the operation of restaurants, fitness clubs, gym, etc. need to be executed immediately by you in the regions together with the respective public institutions, of course" said the Prime Minister of Georgia to Governors.
According to the Government Resolution, routed mini buses will suspend operation both in regions as well as inter-city for a while.
Head of Government of Georgia urged the Governors to execute the referred decision with the highest degree efficiency as well as any other recommendation issued by the Inter-Agency Coordination Council of the Government of Georgia. As instructed by the Prime Minister of Georgia, Governors will operate in full coordination with the respective public institutions.
