World-known Swiss chocolate producer Camille Bloch will cultivate hazelnut plantations in Georgia to be used in Ragusa branded products. Details of the investment project were discussed at a meeting of Daniel Bloch, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the company with Giorgi Gakharia, Prime Minister of Georgia in Davos today.

Camille Bloch already incorporated a company in Georgia and found a land of 651 hectares in Lagodekhi Municipality. It is worth noting that company aims to cultivate hazelnuts by deploying a new technology to be followed with an increased productivity, plant resistance and high yield. Investor intends to employ about 40 people, who will be trained and other hazelnut growers will also acquire the know-how.

Prime Minister of Georgia noted that authorities stand ready to support the corporate footage or enterprise of the company in the country to ultimately facilitate the development of production with a cutting-edge technology.

World-known Swiss chocolate producer Camille Bloch has a track record of 90 years in operation. It produces 3700 tons of chocolate a year, one quarter of which is exported. Annual revenues of the company exceed 45 MLN USD.
