Today Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia held a meeting with President of the National Council of the Swiss Confederation Marina Carobbio.
The meeting emphasized key directions in the relations between Georgia and Switzerland, including the role of the Swiss Confederation's mediation between Georgia and Russia. The meeting also commended Switzerland's efforts in protecting the interests of Georgian citizens in the Russian Federation.
The conversation also revolved around prospects of further developing bilateral cooperation. In particular, the parties discussed the importance of stronger economic and tourism ties between Georgia and Switzerland.
