It is a joy to be walking through these neighborhoods observing the extremely traditional city of Tbilisi rapidly transforming to resemble Europe, preserving its own traditions and yet remaining steadfast on its path to Europe, Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia told the press today.

The Prime Minister, accompanied by Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze, visited Tbilisoba celebrations in Orbeliani Square, and wished the citizens a Happy Feast of Tbilisi.

"My wish for every Tbilisi resident is to be successful, for our city to be comfortable, joyful for both its residents and our guests. I wish a Happy Tbilisoba to the Mayor of Tbilisi. I am well aware of the effort and work it takes to leave your mark on this city, and that is something one must truly appreciate. My wish for every Tbilisi resident is to keep our traditions-those defining what being a Tbilisi resident is about-and this way accelerate and strengthen our path to Europe, because that is our and our children's future. We must always remember our roots," Giorgi Gakharia stated.
