Today, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Vake Park to commemorate the 74th anniversary of victory over fascism.

On Victory Day over Fascism, the Head of Government offered special congratulations to veterans and their families, and paid homage to the memory of those fallen in World War II.

"It is a special day in the history of mankind, Victory Day over Fascism. I congratulate everyone on this day, especially the participants of World War II, our honorable veterans. Georgia made a huge sacrifice in this war, and hundreds of thousands of Georgians died a hero's death. I bow my head to their memory," Mamuka Bakhtadze stated.

The Head of Government visited the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in the company of the Cabinet members and the Tbilisi Mayor.
