"International organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF) has upgraded the rating of Georgia and it is yet another confirmation that we are developing in the right direction" stated Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at a regular press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, free media environment is one of the significant achievements of the political team in power.
"Significant rating has been released and Georgia has been advanced in it. Our position has been improved. I am referring to the international rating published by Reporters Without Borders (RSF), which is one of the most reputable organizations of the world. I wish to reiterate that one of the significant achievements of our political team in power is the free media environment. Fact remains that it is improving every year and the entire world clearly sees that. We need to intensify our efforts towards progress, however our upgraded ranking is a clear confirmation and response to all those subjective allegations that claim regress of media freedom in Georgia. This is a complete lie, as we truly have progress" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
