In line with a plan of natural gas supply to the regions of Georgia in 2019-2022, it is anticipated to reach 217 more settlements throughout the country. It was announced by Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia at a press briefing held prior to the Executive Government Meeting today.
According to the Head of Government of Georgia, over 1 200 000 subscribers will thus gain access to natural gas supply throughout the country, which means that penetration will increase to 85%.
Planned initiative is tentatively budgeted at 210 MLN GEL in total.
"As a result of the referred investment, Georgia will be one of the leaders in the region in terms of natural gas supply when we reach 85% of penetration" concluded the Prime Minister of Georgia.
