Trade and economic cooperation were among the key topics of discussion between Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia and H.E. Antonio Enrico Bartoli, Plenipotentiary and Extraordinary Ambassador of Italy today.

Prospects of holding a Georgia-Italy Business Forum in Tbilisi was discussed to better expose Italian companies with investment potential of Georgia and to catalyze contacts between entrepreneurs of both countries.

Focus was made on the wide-scale reform in the education sector of Georgia, which covers all the pillars of the system and which will be annually funded with 6% of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP) of Georgia.

Head of Government of Georgia expressed his gratitude to Italian authorities for supporting the education programs implemented in Georgia.

Discussions were related to the positive trend of current cooperation between the two countries. It was noted that recent high-level meetings also evidence the momentum.

Prime Minister of Georgia expressed his gratitude to the Ambassador of Italy for his personal contribution in advancing the bilateral relations between the countries.
