Archil Tatunashvili's murder has been a pain uniting all of Georgia, and the Georgian state builds on heroes like him, Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated at the Mukhatgverdi Fraternal Cemetery where he honored the memory of Archil Tatunashvili today.

"Exactly one year ago today, Archil Tatunashvili was brutally murdered. A year ago, yet another Georgian citizen fell victim to the occupation regime. He was tortured cruelly, but his spirit was never broken. Archil Tatunashvili is a Georgian hero, and so are his parents who have raised such a valiant man for Georgia. It is because of such grievous crimes that we have compiled the Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili List, and those on this list must be held accountable to international law. This list will surely expand because the investigation continues. We have asked all our partners to take this list into account, and 2019 promises to be a significant year in this regard. We are using every mechanism to provide this information to the international community, be it UN, OSCE, the EU, or other international platforms. I am convinced that the Georgia state will achieve justice on this heinous crime. We must do our best to stave off such tragedies. This pain has united all of Georgia, and the Georgian state rests on heroes like Archil," Mamuka Bakhtadze emphasized.

The Prime Minister laid a wreath on the grave of Archil Tatunashvili and reiterated his solidarity to his parents.
