Historic links between Georgia and Greece, transition to a higher level of friendly relations and cooperation were discussed by Mamuka Bakhtadze, Prime Minister of Georgia and Alexis Tsipras, Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic at a meeting held within the scope of the 55th Munich Security Conference (MSC2019) today.

High level of political cooperation and prospects of economic interaction were discussed at the meeting within the context of trade relations.

Focus was made on the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration of Georgia and Greek Government Delegation reiterated its outspokenly solid support towards this end.

Prime Ministers also spoke about the current condition of occupied territories of Georgia and peace initiative of the Government of Georgia branded as a Step Towards Better Future. Prime Minister of the Hellenic Republic noted that Greece solidly supports territorial integrity and sovereignty of Georgia. It also welcomes pragmatic and constructive approach of the Government of Georgia towards the issue.

Prime Ministers also discussed the significant issues related to circular migration and diasporas.
